Happy Earth Day! What better way to celebrate than tms receiving thePlanet Mark Certificationfor the fifth consecutive year. To qualify for the Planet Mark Certification, organizations must report a 5% or more reduction in carbon footprint year over year, from our offices and commutes to business travel.

As part of our Better Future Blueprint, tms is committed to meeting our enterprise pledge of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. In 2023, our buildings emissions decreased by 40%, and business travel emissions remain below 2019 pre-pandemic figures.

As we’re able to work together in-person more and more, there are exciting opportunities to grow our business and relationships through travel. We are striving to find the right balance of in-person meetings and making progress towards our commitment to emission reduction. To achieve this goal, we host regular lunch ‘n learns to share best practices for more sustainable travel.

Moving forward, tms is developing roadmaps and collaborating with our broader organization and leadership to progress our journey to achieving net zero emissions. This includes expanding our focus on Scope 3 emissions within certain functions of the business.

Jill Hay, tms’ London Facilities Manager, played an instrumental part in our ongoing Planet Mark Certification by supporting our submission entries and ensuring we reach necessary standards.

Collaboration in this work is key to achieving Planet Mark certification for a fifth year in a row, and I look forward to continuing to do it together. I want to extend a special thank you to our partners across the organization for their exceptional efforts in collecting data and overseeing the reporting process that led to our 2023 certification.
