As part of our Better Future Blueprint, tms is committed to protecting the planet. We’re incredibly proud to have received Planet Mark certification for four years in a row and to be named a finalist for Planet Mark’s Employee Engagement award.

The Planet Mark awards recognize companies leading the way in carbon reduction, social value, and corporate social responsibility. You can view the full list of finalists on Planet Mark’s website. We look forward to seeing the winning companies in November 2023.

I am incredibly inspired by our global teams who have rallied together to bring our commitments to life and put our values into action. What makes this even more special is that the announcement coincided with this year’s World Clean Up Day kick-off event, where we had the honor of hosting Heidi Solba, President and Head of the Global Network at Let’s Do It World and World Cleanup Day. I am excited to see what our teams can accomplish together in the coming month!

How we achieved Planet Mark certification

To qualify for certification for the 2022 calendar year, organizations needed to report a 5 percent or more reduction in carbon footprint year over year or leverage Planet Mark’s Emissions Banking option. This approach allows companies to redistribute savings made in one year across the following three years of certifications.

You can find more information about our recent 2020 and 2021 certifications on our website.

The work still ahead

Looking toward the remainder of the year, and to achieving a potential fifth year of recognition, we will be managing our travel emissions and utility use in our office buildings. This month, we’re educating our employees on the best way to strike a balance between sustainable travel and delivering the right services to our clients.

As we navigate an ever-changing working and travel environment post-pandemic, we must remain committed to keeping emissions reduction top of mind. It will take everyone’s efforts and we’re excited to partner together. On that note, thank you to all of our partners across the organization for their terrific work gathering data and managing the reporting process for our 2022 certification.
