tms celebrates Pride Month with global festivities
tms showed its pride globally by hosting a series of Pride Month celebrations. tms Chicago celebrated at our global headquarters, while tms Germany helped support the McDonald’s Pride parade truck at the Christopher Street Day Parade in Munich, where an estimated 520,000 attended.
HAVI’s Employee Resource Group Rainbow, who advocates and represents LGBTQ+ employees, put on the colorful event in Chicago with plenty of games, treats, and Pride merch to go around. Fellow HAVI and Stanley colleagues also attended the event.
Employees enjoyed playing Pride-inspired bingo and trivia games hosted by a local drag queen, Khloe Daniels (@itskhloedaniels), who entertained the crowd all afternoon. An ally of the LGBTQ+ community and dean for underserved school systems, Marcello Robinson, also spoke to tms employees about his brother’s struggle with identity and substance abuse due to discrimination as a black, queer man. Robinson highlighted the importance of giving a voice to the marginalized and being an ally to the queer community.
As a proud member of the queer community, it was refreshing to be in an affirming space. Considering the current political landscape, it means everything to know my organization doesn’t just tolerate my difference but embraces it.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the PRIDE Event this past month in the Chicago office. It was an amazing event and helped to demonstrate support for the LGBTQ+ community and provide an opportunity for individuals to connect and create allyship and fellowship around our differences.
