The innovation hub of Chicago has just welcomed its newest member… tms! Based at 345 N Morgan, this new space in Fulton Market recently won an award for Crain’s Coolest Offices in Chicago for 2023, among the likes of United Airlines, Bond Collective and EY Chicago. The move was inspired by leadership’s desire to have the entire HAVI Group under one roof and to adapt to a hybrid work model. Fulton Market was chosen because the location fosters innovation, collaboration, and motivates people to produce cutting-edge work.

Under the leadership of Rob Pieper, SVP of Corporate Strategy & Process, and Diana Samper, SVP, Group Creative Director, tms helped lead the design work for the new office.

“Working with a cross-functional team to design the next generation working spaces of HAVI and its business units was both an honor and pleasure. Our new spaces are not only beautiful and located in one of the hottest areas of the city, but they are highly functional given the evolving needs of our businesses and today’s workforce. The space truly reflects our culture, commitment to employees, and desire to connect people and brands in new and innovative ways,” said Rob.

“We collaborated to bring to life some of our common areas, proudly showcasing the work and products we make but also creating a sense of community, celebration, and collaboration in the new space. Having our teams participate and get excited in the design process was great, and everyone feels part of the new office. Working at our global headquarters has brought a new sense of joy and pride for the company we work for and for the idea of seeing each other again,” said Diana.

Fulton Market, located in the West Loop area, was originally home to the meatpacking and industrial industries. In recent decades, the neighborhood has transformed into a hotspot for innovation, and a multitude of top innovators like Google, Facebook, and McDonald’s have embraced the area.

345 N Morgan features four floors that are shared with HAVI’s three subsidiaries — tms, HAVI Supply Chain, and Stanley — and each floor has its own unique theme. The office was designed to be used as a flex space to inspire collaboration and account for the demands of the ever-changing hybrid work environment.

Every level boasts 15-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, kitchens, and collaborative work areas. Employees can choose between traditional office desks, meeting rooms, or communal townhall areas to get their work done. The kitchens are even equipped with a kombucha tap and over one dozen flavors of water to choose from! In need of some fresh air? Employees are welcome to sit on any of the floor’s balconies or venture up to the exclusive rooftop, where HAVI has a private, dedicated seating area, for panoramic views of the city.
