tms helps level up Monopoly at McDonald’s in the U.S. by giving fans more of what they want

Monopoly at McDonald’s is back for its second year in a row after a successful return to the U.S.* This time, the game is even simpler to follow, and we’ve supercharged the digital experience to make it especially exciting with even more fan-favorite prizes.
At its core, the 2026 program preserves the straightforward journey that players already know and love: peel, then scan for a chance to win. Instant win food and points are redeemed seamlessly in-app, while property pieces fuel gameboard progression. We also introduced a new Chance Card which unlocks interactive gameplay opportunities, adding an extra layer of surprise, engagement, and prize-winning potential along the way.
To bring Monopoly at McDonald’s to life, tms delivered an integrated retail and digital experience designed to seamlessly educate customers, build excitement and winner believability, and drive loyalty. tms’ approach leverages a mix of best practices from past years of delivering this iconic program, while combining key insights learned from the 2025 launch.
The return of Monopoly at McDonald’s to the U.S. last year was a success, allowing us to build on the existing platform and bring back a fan favorite. This year’s program reflects that evolution, offering up new prizes and an enhanced digital experience to make the game even more enticing for fans.
Our embedded packaging agency, Boxer Brand Design, designed the full suite of packaging including cold cups, paper bags, and clamshells. The packaging highlights the iconic Mr. Monopoly along with instigator messages to motivate play, game play instructions, and illustrations of major prizes up for grabs.
tms also negotiated all prize partnerships with major brands to deliver real value for customers. Reinforcing the brand’s commitment to delivering value in a challenging economic environment, McDonald’s is offering up additional prizes like $10K every day, $50K towards student debt pay down, and even a $1 million prize.
The program goes runs through November 1 or while supplies last.
